Chicken Broccoli Stir Fry

Ingredients
  

  • 3 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into chunks
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • ½  teaspoon ground ginger
  • cup  soy sauce
  • ¼  cup brown sugar
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes, orto taste
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil, or to taste
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons  water

Instructions
 

  • Stir brown sugar, ginger, soy sauce and red pepper flakes together in a bowl to dissolvesugar into the liquid.
  • In a small bowl add water and cornstarch together; stir with a whisk until cornstarch dissolves completely.
  • Heat the oil in a skillet pan on high heat. Fry the chicken and onion in hot oil till the chicken turns pink in the center and the onion becomes soft.
  • Now add the broccoli along with the chicken and onions and stir them together. Saute until the broccoli is heated through, about 5 minutes. Push the chicken and vegetable mixture to the side of the skillet pan.
  • Pour the soy sauce mixture into the free part of the pan. Stir the cornstarch slurry into the soy sauce mixture until the color is even.
  • Move the chicken and vegetables back into the center of the pan; saute until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and vegetables, about 5 minutes more. Chicken Broccoli Stir Fry is ready. You can serve it with rice.
